A Night To Remember
How often have you been asked “What did you do last weekend?” and drew a blank? Or had trouble recounting the story of a book you loved? Can you recall your best friend’s phone number without checking?
SAM Late Nights: A Night to Remember will be an evening full of fun, tongue-in-cheek activities that will have you realising how much you forget, while also giving you the chance to come together to put your collective memory to the test.
In response to the themes of the exhibition Heman Chong: This is a dynamic list and may never be able to satisfy particular standards for completeness, we're collaborating with Singapore Art Museum to explore the concept of memory and narrative, as well as the role that print plays in the making of history.

From artworks first made in 2003 to new works, the exhibition charts his prolific conceptual practice over the last two decades. An invitation into Chong’s incisive use of words, objects, situations, logics and affinities, the exhibition presents his critical and affective interrogation of our shared human condition in the 21st century.
